Axuall Appoints Healthcare Technology Executive Kris Joshi to Board of Directors

Former Optum and Change Healthcare leader brings three decades of software, data, and AI scaling experience to Axuall's clinician data platform and AI offerings.

CLEVELAND, Ohio, August X, 2026 - Axuall, the leader in clinical workforce intelligence, today announced the appointment of Kris Joshi, PhD, to its Board of Directors as an independent director.

Joshi joins Axuall at a pivotal moment for provider data. Healthcare organizations are under mounting pressure to expand clinical capacity and meet patient demand, yet the decisions that govern it still rely on fragmented, outdated, and manually compiled information about the clinical workforce. Joshi's career experiences span the transitions Axuall is navigating: building category-defining data infrastructure, scaling it into healthcare enterprises, and applying AI at scale. He served as CEO of Optum's $3 billion Software, Network, and Data business following Optum's acquisition of Change Healthcare in 2022, leading a portfolio of healthcare software, data, analytics, payment, and network businesses that serve payers, providers, and life sciences organizations. He subsequently served as CEO of Norstella, a global life sciences data and AI company.

Prior to Optum, Joshi spent 9 years at Change Healthcare as EVP and President of Software and Network Solutions, where he helped grow revenue from $1 billion to $3.5 billion and helped lead the company through a successful IPO. Earlier in his career, he was Global Vice President of Products at Oracle, where he helped establish the Health Sciences Global Business Unit, and held senior strategy roles in IBM's global healthcare business. He began his career at McKinsey & Company. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Caltech and a PhD in Astrophysics from MIT.
